ACIA Case Conference: Mass Shooting in Las Vegas

The Academy for Critical Incident Analysis is convening a case conference on  the mass shooting that took place on October 1, 2017. Attendance and participation is limited to  invited persons who experienced the incident, scholars and experts, as well as incident responders and managers. The site of the case conference is the Residence Inn Las Vegas Convention Center, located at 3225 Paradise Road, Las Vegas, NV

The conference will focus on the following topics:

  • Responding in the aftermath of large scale mass assaults
  • Survivors and Survival – perspectives and lessons
  • Urban high-rise buildings as platforms for large scale  incidents
  • Medical response for large-scale assaults
  • Challenges in investigation and analysis of perpetrators
  • Risk management for large-scale urban assaults
  • Social Media in Large-Scale assaults
